WELCOMECOMPANIONS is a fashion project that reinterprets everyday sartorial accessories and objects through a formal and surrealist lens. The project seeks to inject a sense of play, suspense, and narrative into the objects we interact with and depend on on a daily basis. We suggest the novelty that in our accessories, function is not wholly dependent on utilitarian form. Being serious about fashion doesn't mean we can't have fun with it too!

Each of our collections are core and our pieces have been seen on and are cherished by bright and fashionable ladies such as Miranda July and Lena Dunham.

WELCOMECOMPANIONS are made in Los Angeles in limited editions.

All of our pieces are designed by WELCOMEPROJECTS, a studio of discursive sensibilities directed by Laurel Consuelo Broughton. Trained as an architect, Laurel is a designer who explores her interests in narrative, material culture, and style within architecture, design, and fashion through projects, publications, and collaborations at a multiplicity of scales. The object as form and cultural figure features broadly throughout all her work.
